So you jump on the social networking bandwagon. You update your website, start a blog, and join Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter. You write now and again on all of them, you labor over blog posts, you update your site as often as you can — and nothing happens. You haven’t failed. You just haven’t treated social networking the way you treat all your other business activities — you track them, you systematize them, and you monetize them.

Here in Washington State, we don’t have state personal taxes. Business taxes make up for this little break. It’s a good place for a business, but plan to overcapitalize, if such were possible.
